After visiting Makuru Slum in 2010
with Childaid I have decided to try and raise some more desperately need Funds
for the Kids in Nairobi.
On March 3rd 2013 I am travelling to Nepal to Trek to The Everest Base Camp in
at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) in my Referees Kit. Before setting
off I am starting my 1 Year countdown with an attempt to organise Irelands
(possibly Europe's) Highest Flash Mob on March 3rd 2012
Well its been done and lead by none other than Pat Falvey of Everest Fame and here it is!!
All 178 Happy People!!!!!
In my Ref's Kit on Kilimanjaro 2010 @ 19000Ft
All money raised through the Flashmob & Everest Trip will go to Childaid Projects in East Africa.
Right I know some will say Charity begins at home. I agree, however when I was in Africa I witnessed DESPERATION beyond anything I ever saw. The picture below was taken by me in Makuru just outside the gate to the The Kwa Njenja School Project which is funded by Childaid. This is their house, but they are lucky enough to own a Family Business... "A Chipper" just outside their front door... yes that is the Family Home!
On my last night on Kili I after "washing" with Baby wipes only for 5 days, changed my socks & underwear which I disposed of in a bin. Shortly afterwards a Local removed same and sneaked them into his pocket..... Now that is poverty that we are lucky enough to have never seen. This is why I am so passionate about doing more to help these fellow Human Beings.
ANYWAY IF YOU WANT TO HELP WITH A BIT OF SPONSORSHIP
